I have a Hitachi HDTV a few years ago. It has component and DVI.

I know that the component does not know with HD-DVD players, but everyone, whether they make improvements to HDMI to DVI to work been? I've heard that originally, for the copyright Cable HDMI to DVI only allows the reading of 480th Has this changed?

Sirbobx is correct. Works of components that are manufacturuers but due to paranoia about signals downrezzed copy.

HDMI and DVI are the same for video (HDMI also carries audio surround) for a converter (or HDMI to DVI cable) can connect to your TV. Audio can be connected via the optical port.

I think that applies to the "copyright", which is HDCP) (protection against the copying of high definition. It is a protocol that allows authorized a handshake between two devices and, if possible signals at full resolution. If your TV has HDCP should be free at home.

To be sure, their agreement to a transaction, you can use the HD-DVD back when you can get an HD picture with HDCP problems.

Totally works for HD components. I have my Blu-Ray and HD cable is plugged in that case today.

You can buy a simple HDMI-> DVI or HDMI cable to buy is at one end and DVI on the other side. And get real high definition. My TV is now used.

The strange thing: When I connected to both HDMI and component - component Rezeda up to 480, not HDMI.
